zolotoi_vek_gruzii_gruziya_pri_carice_tamar.jpg Georgia, situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, boasts a fascinating history that spans centuries. From ancient cave cities to majestic fortresses, from picturesque monasteries to stunning mountain panoramas, this tour transports you to a bygone era known as the Golden Age. During this time, Georgia flourished as a vibrant center of art, culture, and commerce.

From the late 11th to the late 13th century, Georgia experienced an unprecedented period of power and prosperity. Led by influential figures like David IV the Builder and George V the Brilliant, the Georgian state reached its peak both militarily and economically, stretching from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea.

However, the Mongol invasions and the devastating impact of the "Black Death" (plague) brought about significant changes. The fall of Constantinople and the disintegration of the Byzantine Empire also had profound effects on Georgia's economy and regional standing.

Our journey begins in Kutaisi, the capital of Georgia in the late 11th century, where we'll visit the Bagrat Cathedral, the site of David IV's coronation. Our tour will culminate in Kutaisi as well, as it is the resting place of George V the Brilliant, the last powerful king of united Georgia.

Between the beginning and end of our voyage through the Golden Age of Georgia, we will explore the greatest architectural marvels, hear stories of great battles, uncover legends about fortresses, visit the first academies of the country, explore cave cities, marvel at the fantastic frescoes in churches, and bask in the beauty of Georgia's nature.

Knowledgeable guides will accompany us throughout the tour, offering insightful commentary on each destination. Capture precious memories with photo and video sessions, embracing the timeless allure of Georgia's Golden Age.

As you bid farewell to Georgia, you will carry with you unforgettable memories and a profound appreciation for its rich heritage and hospitable people. Embark on this extraordinary journey through the Golden Age of Georgia, where captivating history awaits at every turn.
