Tour programme:

Day 1 - "So long time no see"

Upon your arrival at Tbilisi International Airport, our friendly guide will welcome you and assist with the transfer to your hotel. Take some time to settle in and relax, preparing for the exciting adventure that lies ahead. If you're feeling adventurous, you can explore the charming streets of Tbilisi and soak in the unique blend of ancient architecture and modern vibes.
In the evening, the entire group will gather for a fun "dinner - acquaintance" event.

📌 Arrival in Tbilisi, transfer to the hotel, free time, dinner-acquaintance
📌 Participants arriving at Kutaisi airport will spend 3-4 hours on the way to Tbilisi.

Day 2 - "The Power of Faith"

Today, we'll venture outside Tbilisi to the ancient city of Mtskheta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the historical wonders of this spiritual center, including the Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, both significant landmarks in Georgian Christianity. Georgia, unlike its neighboring countries in the region, has maintained its Christian faith throughout its tumultuous history, despite facing invasions and threats from powerful empires such as the Mongols, Ottomans, and Persians. The magnificent monasteries in Mtskheta stand as a testament to the deep-rooted faith of the Georgian people in Christ and the significant role they played in the state's baptism and rich history.

Day 3 - "In vino veritas"

The fact that Georgia is the "Homeland of Wine" is undisputed even by leading wine countries like France, Italy, and Spain. Winemaking and grape cultivation in Georgia have been practiced for 7,000 years, with over 450 grape varieties growing in the country, and 70% of them in Kakheti. In Georgia's ancient academies of Gelati and Ikalto (which we will visit), viticulture and winemaking were studied as sciences as early as the 11th century. We will visit a wine museum, where we can see the entire process of winemaking from vineyards to finished products. And, of course, we will taste the wine. We will also enjoy the picturesque beauty of the fertile Alazani Valley and the hospitable people of Kakheti, the heroes of many Georgian anecdotes.

📌 Gombori Pass and Forest, Ikalto and Alaverdi Monasteries, Qvevri and Wine Museum, Winery, Gremi - fortress town, Nekresi Monastery, rural restaurant in Kakheti

✅ Day 4 - "Grey-Haired Hermit"

The captivating beauty of the Caucasus Mountains has enchanted all who have ventured here. These majestic peaks have posed challenges for generations of mountaineers, including the perpetually shrouded Tetnuldi, the formidable Ushba with its double-headed peak, the magnificent Chkhara, and the venerable and wise Kazbek (known as Mkinvartsveri in Georgian), its summit cloaked in ice. Our journey will take us to the foothills of Kazbek, where we'll discover the Gergeti Trinity, one of the highest mountain monasteries in the world, offering a breathtaking view of the iconic Greater Caucasus mountain range. Additionally, we'll unravel the secrets of the mighty Terek River, exploring the Truso Gorge with its countless mineral springs, a glistening lake, picturesque travertines, and a flourishing alpine valley.
